Students and administrators at Detroit’s primary Chabad-Lubavitch run educational institution for boys are looking forward to their new home in the heart of the local Jewish community after securing a substantial donation that will help fund a custom-built modern facility.
Chabad of Argentina Relief Appeal, which supports the Ieladeinu orphanage in Buenos Aires, came in first place in the second round of the latest Chase Community Giving online competition. Six other Chabad-Lubavitch affiliated organizations placed in the Top 25.
When Wanda Zekelman passed away a year and a half ago, Alan Zekelman went to Mishkan Israel to say Kaddish for his mother, and was disheartened by the condition of the building. With his donation, the facility will be renovated and doubled in size to 20,000 square feet.
